The Square Project started during a short visit to Istanbul.
It is a city that streches over two continents and is almost a little boatride away from a third.
But somehow I wasn't satisfied with the photos I shot during the first day.
When I looked at some old pictures in a authenic photoshop It suddenly struck me. I was shooting digital and I missed the old B&W look from my old 'film' work.
So I went back to basic, shooting people in their own enviroment with a square frame, since the first pictures I took in Art School were with an old 4x4 Hasselblad.
The Istanbul series were the beginning of a 'conceptproject' that I kept exploring since.
