I was shocked when I discovered that my website allready contains over 1200 images! Most of them of commercial intent; travelphotos, promoshots for bands and more like that.
With exceptions of portraits and weddings, I just enjoy taking photo's. The last couple of years it even made me some money as a part-time freelancer. Money that I've invested in better lenses, equipment and lots of traveling.
Being 40+ I think its time to think things over. What are the photos that I like best? What are the photos that I've made out of creativity, spontanity or just with plain luck? Not the photos that sold, but the ones I like to frame and hang on a wall in my livingroom!
So I came up with the idea of a portfolio. A portfolio in 5 parts with different themes and every part contains 5 photos. That's it, nothing pretentious, just a selection. A selection that was hard to make...
But it was good to find out that almost every shot that's in this collection was made in the last year. At least it is a confimation for myself that I am still improving myself.
