We had several emotional moments on this trip, like driving into the devestated suburbs of New Orleans and seeing the devestations of hurican Katrina.
On our second day of this trip we visited the Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach. Hard to believe to find this less then a mile from beautifull beaches and almost next to a shopping mall. But it is a truly overwhelming monument. Just to walk around there touched our souls, we had tears in our eyes.
I even had them a couple of hours ago when I processed these photo's...
Just a couple of weeks before our trip I was in Jordan, the Gaza Strip, looking over one of the biggest refugeecamps in the whole middle east... I refuse to take sides, but please read the quote by Gandhi on the top of this page:
