Here we go; my full name is Arny Raedts and I was born in 1965. Since I can remember I was playing with pencils and drawing stuff.
In college I discovered photography as a hobby. I found out
it was an easy way to get girls out of their clothes...

After college I went to art-school and got my BA in Audio-Visual Design. In the same time I found some new ways to be creative: music & everything that is related to it, management, bookings and promotion.
I really loved the hardcore-punk-movement of the early and mid 80’s and the "Do It Your Selve"-way of producing your own products. I photographed numerous bands and played some great gigs with my own bands. But mostly I was involved promoting and booking gigs for a local concerthall.

In the 90's most of my spare time was consumed by playing music and doing gigs all over Europe. Playing guitar in an instrumental surfpunk band, when a movie called Pulp Fiction came out, was a marketing plan from hell! I was working during the week and in the weekends playing every bar and venue from Denmark to South-Germany. Although I never stopped photographing, most of the photo's I took were music related, eather publicity shots for bands or live-photos for magazine.

In 2001, my wife and I made our first trip to the southwest of the USA. The beauty of the landscapes inspired me to take up photography serious again. Since then I am working, beside my daytime job in public relations, as a freelance photographer. In 2002 I started my own little freelance photo business called ArnyZona Photography.

My work is available through international acclaimed stock agencies: Alamy and Photographers Direct. Or directly via the contactform on this website.
